Shopping for some - work for others

While most of the group was shopping, Luke met with Mr. Zhang to talk about the English Camp. Mr. Zhang is the senior most government official Luke works with regarding our project. Along with Jumbo (Sr. Adminstrator) and Lucy (a teacher in Zhuhai schools) they talked for several hours about the progress of the English Camp. It appears that all sides of the table are very happy about what is happening in Zhuhai and everyone’s goals are being met.

Sunday was a fun day at the underground mall in Zhuhai. We shopped and enjoyed some American food at KFC. I know we have all enjoyed the experience of genuine Chinese cuisine, but as you can tell by looking at Kim and Jenaya - fries have not looked so good! Not to worry, we’ll have another week of noodles and rice for breakfast starting Monday.

The underground mall is an interesting place. Hundreds and hundreds of shops with most having about a 20-foot storefront could be found in the mall. Aisle after aisle of shops and stores, on two floors, selling everything imaginable kept us busy for hours. Have I mentioned there are a lot of people in China:-)
